If psychology consultants are using it they're hack fucking frauds because it has been known for a long fucking time that MBTI tests have a habit of returning different results for the same person when they take it again, and this may shock you, but people don't change their entire fucking personality in the span of a few months.

this. MBTI at least correlates pretty well on two of the OCEAN factors, and somewhat on two more, so it's better than the nip obsession with blood types, but not by much.

MBTI tells you what the person thinks of themselves so after another layer of interpretation it can be more accurate. Instead of thinking, it means considers themselves a thinker, instead of introverted, considers themselves an introvert.
