Hey guys, I've been making this Ayame drawing for a while, and there's still a bunch of things I need to do before actually working on lighting, but I sort of sped through to see what I could do, and I definitely need some help.

I've been meaning to try out one of two ideas. The first is pic related with the moonlight illuminating Ayame from above. But the second and more preferable one is with a village burning down in front of her and a blood moon on the sky. But with the flames, that sounds incredibly hard to do the lighting on her and I'm completely stumped. Any tips on how to pull it off? Not sure what you mean by hand eye coordination but some of it is just reps. Pick a subject you like, presumably anime girls if you are here, and start sketching. Think about the various basic elements of drawing: anatomy, perspective, construction, line quality, posing, etc. Eventually add color theory if you want. It's not that hard really but it does take time and practice.
