That being said. Everyone in this thread besides maybe 3 people have never watched Bae past her debut. They all got filtered by her debut voice. She does at least try to adopt the JP vtuber content pipeline unlike literally everyone else in EN besides Kiara.
Bae does her idol reps, she has put out multiple covers songs, she has 2 orisongs, she participates as much as possible in any JP collab events and hololive official channel promo material or gameshows, her JP senpais love her. The problem is Bae doesn't have a niche at all, and she tries to pander to too many crowds at the same time.
Also Bae is not loud. I watch 90% of her streams and I've had my ears blown out by Kronii more than Bae, and that bitch had the audacity to do some microphone recommendation stream.

I honestly feel like she is more of a JP style vtuber and the reality is that more standard/basic streamers and twitch vthots are what Western people watch. She's naive, cute, highly ambitious and constantly working and releasing Japanese and Kpop style music, tends toward optimism, speaks Japanese and collabs with JPs, releases unapologetic GFE content that isn't just lewd baiting, etc. As a whole these positives aren't what Western audiences care about.

There are other factors of course, she can be loud and even somewhat abrasive at times (more so in the past, not as prominent anymore), the Stars stuff at the beginning, Council having nowhere near the momentum Myth had, Council not having a Gura/Kobo everyone feeds off of, etc. I think the beginning was significant in stunting her growth and the state of EN vtubing and the audiences have put her in this spot.

Accent debuff. The key to succeeding in HoloEN is to sound vaguely American and speak clearly.

Honestly, while interacting with the Stars seems to impact members and supas, I'm not sure if it has a significant effect on CCV. The En talents who have done stars collabs all have pretty significant issues with their content output which complicates things a bit. i think clip-baiting with thinks like her zoomer moments is a good way to get people curious enough to check out her streams but to really keep em she needs that "wow" factor. i think doing a range of voices in her games would really get people hooked.

I've been missing a lot of streams due to life shit, but her Fit for a King and surprisingly her Peppa Pig streams were a fun time.
It's hard to recommend her zatsu's if you don't actively watch her, but I find those nice and relaxing to listen to in the background.
