I made a spreadsheet tallying the ethnicities (known or reasonably suspected) of every female EN vtuber that I could think of, or else those regularly mentioned on /vt/. Mainly, I looked to answer the question, "How white and how Asian is the EN vtuber scene overall?" Hapas I counted as Asian.

The result: Asians doubled whites. However, much of the total Asian count came from Asia-specific small corpos like kawaii or Prism. Limit the small corpo tally to Western ones (Phase, Tsunderia, idolEN, EIEN), and the EN scene actually comes to a near-even split, Asians only a small majority. Either way, whites are most prominent in the indies plus Vshojo (now mostly encompassed by Mythic), Asians most prominent in the small corpos plus Nijisanji.

I only ever watched Brood War streams on there but from what I've picked up on over the years is that the Korean government got too interlocked with Afreeca and they started going against the BJs (that's broadcast jockey) that were more provocative.
