Male Nijisanji EN talent would / will also not be very succesful. Male streamers don't have any of the myriad of hurdles and / or associated behaviour patterns that female streamers have in the west, so there still is a huge niche for vtubers in the west as long as they're female.
However, due to the long history of male e-celebs in the west, you not only have people in the industry that have huge followings that have been going at it for like ten years, you also have new fresh, new streamers that consistently blows up and become hugely popular seemingly over night and every kind of background and personality and even fucking political leaning is represented.
I mean, there's literally someone for everyone. From "intellectual" 4chan anons to ebin redditors to twitter drones, enlightened centrists to radicals of every flavor.
