I don't want to ask my viewers this question because they're fine with whatever I do but I stream every day for at least 13 hours and obviously at some point I get hungry. I would feel bad for pausing the stream for 15 minutes to eat and having nothing going on, I don't want to "react" to videos because I find it to be lazy content, ending the stream for 15 minutes and making a new stream would be bothersome for the viewers...Most Vtubers stream for only an hour or two hours so this isn't an issue for them so what should Vtubers such as myself do in a situation such as this?

>> No.49897105

>What should a Vtuber do when they need to eat?
just tell your viewers that you need to eat something
plenty of vtubers eat while streaming

>> No.49897216

i personally don't think doing react content is a big deal, but if you're truly against it i would just eat on stream. some people may not like the chewing noises so you could even mute and type instead of talk. it's very common for streamers who stream for a long time like yourself, so it's no big deal

>>49897014
Just say it. Bonus points if you provide mogu mogu asmr while doing it.

>> No.49897283

Eat on stream if you can, they actually like it

Have a prepared meal in the fridge. Say you're gonna go grab your food and be super quick about it, and then you can come back with your food and eat it there while talking with your viewers. Mute when you're chewing, obviously.

Vast majority know there's a real person behind the avatar that needs sustenance. Just tell them you need to eat. A lot of people actually like eating asmr.

I've had some comments before where people came in for the first time ever while I was eating and it turned them away so that's why I wanted to pose this question.
>>49897216
I don't really react to videos personally, I'm the best person to watch movies with because I won't make a peep, that's why I don't watch videos with the viewers.
>>49897220
>>49897283
Do people really? I hate hearing people eating so I just thought that was universal.
>>49897287
I always eat quick meals while streaming, the good stuff is always before or after streams. I'll try this suggestion to the best of my ability.
>>49897290
This comment made me giggle, thank you!
>>49897392
Others commented that people like to hear others eat so I guess I'll maybe give it a try...Maybe I can see if I can eat with my viewers and have it be a little daily date with them. That's probably kind of cringey though right?

and good riddance to them because they're faggots
my oshi sometimes eats crunchy stuff on stream and i love it

>Others commented that people like to hear others eat so I guess I'll maybe give it a try
yes but some people also have phobia for that, just display a message on the stream that you can't talk because you're eating, don't know why it's a big deal, if you stream all day that's the least important thing to be concerned about

>> No.49897819

>>49897454
Do what >>49897621 this anon said and display a message on your stream that you're currently eating so people can mute if they want, and when you're done you'll remove the message so they know it's safe to unmute.
Don't know what else you can really do besides that if you're worried you might turn viewers away from you by eating on stream. Not eating is obviously detrimental to you.

>> No.49898062

>>49897599
Lol gotcha. Thank you for the input anon.
>>49897621
Putting a message up on screen is a good idea, thank you so much for your help.

I appreciate the input, truly. I will do what you and other anons have said.

just eat on stream? that is what other vtubers do, viewers actually find it funny because they can see the avatar's mouth moving.

>> No.49898833

Stream in 6 hour increments. Take a 1 hour break in between streams. If you go too hard with streaming you'll collapse.

>> No.49898953

Break up streams into multiple smaller ones in the same day and use the break to eat and do other stuff, tell them you have food and mute while chewing, or just straight up eat with the mic on because there's a very real chance you have a couple fans who are into that

>> No.49899437

>>49897454
>it turned them away so that's why I wanted to pose this question
I'm pretty sure that's solely a him issue, avoid it if you do feel bothered by it but at the same time don't be bothered by it if you do feel like eating
>That's probably kind of cringey though right?
Watching vtubers is already cringey on surface, whatever cringey services/entertainment you offer after that is just a cherry on top and whoever you attract/deter when doing it is only because vtubers offers different kinds of entertainments. Its only bad when you do the date things and then berate your fans when they get attached to you because of it

>> No.49900306

>>49898559
I guess I'm just worried about it breaking up the flow of the stream.
>>49898833
I will consider this, that sounds like a good idea. But thank you for the concern also, it's not really hard to stream since I'm just sitting in a chair and playing video games while talking for hours on end. I hope that didn't come off as rude...
>>49898917
Cute gif lol.
>>49898953
Another anon said to stream in 6 hour increments and take breaks in between streams so that does sound like a good idea. Not entirely sure if any viewers of mine enjoy it but we shall see.
>>49899437
I feel kind of strange because I've never had a boyfriend or been hit on, at least to my knowledge, so I love flirting with my viewers and treating them as my boyfriends. I've even talked about saving up money to somehow get merch made of wedding rings so I can get married to my viewers lol. I know a lot of people say "parasocial bad" but I really like having my viewers treat me as their girlfriend and I really like treating them as my boyfriends...At the end of the day I wouldn't be able to do this if it weren't for them, y'know?

>> No.49902649

>>49900306
To play the devil's advocate here, while it is something that feels great for the streamer, I've been on the other end of that, and having those kinds of feelings while knowing that the streamer didn't know my name and none of it was real was a nightmare for me until I cut the whole thing out of my life for a period. Not saying don't do girlfriend expirirance stuff, just be aware not to take it too far or as an excuse to gouge people for money in exchange for preferential treatment like my oshi did.

>> No.49902973

>>49902649
I mean, couldn't the same be said for me? I've never had a boyfriend before so sometimes I get dangerously close to thinking that some of these people are my boyfriend...I remember setting up a PO box and being sent so many flowers and candies for Valentine's Day last year, it made me feel as though I was actually in some sort of relationship. It's gotten to the point where I went and swore off collabing with men ever again, because I know my boyfriends would get jealous and I don't want them to think that I would ever be with anyone but them.

>> No.49907116

It's a hardpass to hear people talk with half chewed food in their mouth.
Crunchy snacks like watachips is fine. It's also fine eat on stream... but having bad table manners have made people uncomfortable for ages.
