Ya know, it's rather fitting that Aki has a Morrigan alt color. Both characters have mega oppressive zoning (granted Morrigan is way more egregious since she turns the whole game into a Bullet Hell AND she even builds meter during her fucked up shit to loop it again)

I'm not gonna lie, after playing her I finally get the issues aside from just her millions of mixups. Besides that, she gets a fuckton of meter. Like one combo already gets her almost 2 bars. Her lack of defensive options isn't a big deal because she can just build up so much meter that using her super move as a reversal isn't a big deal, letting her get out of stuff because of the fear she'll just reversal you. That's on top of burst. Besides that, her 22 teleport kick should not cause restand. It's crazy how Muki's drop bounces you up, but she can teleport kick to put you into the standing animation again.

any good sora matches to watch? I don't really know how to use her 214's effectively.

I'd say none of the characters in this game really needs a buff, aside from armor moves but more because those are almost non-functional. In terms of nerfs, I'd say Aki is the biggest to hit, but Botan should probably get a damage nerf since she hits way too hard and her damage scaling is way too lenient. Besides that, they should look at assists. Ame's retarded good, Kiara is basically an anti-Botan assist only, Iroha sucks ass and no one picks her.

Recognize when they’ll use grab. Usually, it’s after 5L/2L. They’ll do 2L into a tick throw, sometimes they’ll do two 2Ls instead. The other moment is after 5M. One thing you have to watch for is delays though. One thing I do as Coco is 5M, delay a bit to make them think I’ll grab, then press 2H to punish mashing or jump outs. This applies to all of those options though, if you try to jump away from 2L you can also get called out by a slightly delayed 2H. After 5M is used and they switch to a heavy button, they aren’t likely to grab you since the other grabs are reactable. Also watch your blockstrings, don’t get too close or greedy during them, especially if she has meter. She can use super grab as a call out during blockstrings. If she whiffs a super grab, use a throw to punish. Do not hit her with anything else if you want to live.

I think the problem is that using cartwheel in a blockstring is really hard. If you do it too early, it’ll whiff. It’s basically a hard read option after 5H, and it only really works if you make your opponent scared to press anything after 5H.

I think robocco and ame are the best and most versatile assist. Mio can potentially be good but the hitbox is too inconsistent and robocco is just more consistent and versatile. Miko can be useful but need a lot of labbing to use. I haven't check out risu yet

Depends on the character and what their install does. Most installs mainly just beef up their moves and give it special properties, like normally unsafe moves will now be plus on block or they might apply status effects. They'll probably have new higher damage combo routes available as well. They might have access to more difficult mixups and ambigious crossups as well.
Installs generally let you be much more aggressive and can get away with a ton more shit. However it depends on the game and what the gameplan of who has the install is trying to do.

I still like it. So far, if I had to list main issues aside from balance issues, I'd say corner pressure is too strong in this game. If you get someone into the corner and just poke at them at a certain distance, it's really hard to get out. No DP or projectile invincible move will be enough aside from maybe your super if it's long ranged enough. You have to try really hard to get out of the corner when Korone is spamming 5M at you or Sora is spamming 5M-6M. I'm not saying getting out of the corner should be easy but you often end up in a death by a thousand cuts situation where the cornered guy may just get chipped to death or timer scammed because the only other option besides blocking is getting counterhit for trying to escape the stagger.

It's pretty fun, especially after they clean up some of the unblockable/infinite.
There are still some janky shit and I can see them toning down a lot of kawaii shit later on. Projectile not disappearing when the projectile user get hit really allow some nasty pressure, zoning, and oki. The game has some extreme offense in older anime fighting game. I hope they add more defensive options such as push block or allow more invincibility on back dash later on
