A long fucking time ago I played WoW and was in a server-leading raid guild, had the top gear sometimes and could sit around and gloat about it and such. There were plenty of little guilds around that couldn't at all do the content we could, and usually their attitudes were one of three options -
a.) direct sour grapes @ the server leads of "pfft who needs those guys anyway, it's hardly different gear than we have and they're total slaves to the game for it"
b.) indirect sour grapes of "pfft we don't actually care about that good gear we're in it for each other as friends" and
c.) jump ship to better guilds eventually - quite often, this wasn't announced right up until the person leaves, only rarely are they loudly complaining/talking about it ahead of time. often was a high ranking member or even guild leader, someone who aspired to more and the rest of the guild just couldn't support that ambition.

Kind of a long seemingly-meaningless post but no, I see similarities here in the micro-corpo that never was (but could/should have been from its head start) getting some sour grapes. I don't have anything against Nyaru, actually I bet with a 2.0 model if it looks even half as cute as art for her can be, she has an excellent design and could get like half the board to violently cum on command.
