I think the best way forward for artists is to lean into the performance art aspect of drawing and painting.

I’m improving my crowd work by chatting with strangers on chaturbate.

I've always been indifferent about AI and I've recently used it for a project because I needed a bunch of character designs. It's really effective at generating specific designs and tweak features until you get what looks decent. The option of inpainting different poses and emotions without having someone redraw it all is also pretty powerful. It didn't feel rewarding though since I did nothing myself. My only alternative is paying someone else to do it though which also isn't rewarding.

In terms of generating a chuuba model, I have way too high standards that AI could not match currently and I want 3D models so for that AI is pretty much useless. In the end I'm still indifferent about AI. I just know if someone turned my specific artstyle, I worked on to perfect over the years, into a lora so people can generate it at the press of a button, I'd probably kill myself on the spot, so I kinda decided I won't really use it personally anymore.

I normally don't bite but I want to talk about it since I think it's relevant to the /asp/ nature of the thread and isn't discussed that much, if you genuinely think of streaming as a cash grab or that somebody else might be using it as one you're likely very mistaken. I will be lucky to break even, and that's while playing either games I already own or that are free. I am at the stage where I seriously have to consider games I'm purchasing since I can't pour a ton into streaming financially at the moment and even one $50 game or whatever is likely most people's payout for the month if they're even fortunate to get that much from subs or ads.

Streaming is not a great cash grab and is more of a money sink than gain of any sort. I shill myself because I genuinely love doing it and I want to be able to spend as much time as possible with my fans, which obviously money impacts when it comes to actually being someone with rent and bills I need to pay.

I don't think the people watching him are chuubas. At least the times I have looked at his chatters there didnt appear to be any. Which is also kind of a weird thing, usually a pretty high proportion of a very small chuuba's viewers are other chuubas trying to network. So my guess is he was a fairly established member of some large discord group and when he became a chuuba a lot of them joined his streams and started shilling for him. That's my best guess.
