Realistically speaking nijisanji/anycolor actually does invest a ton of money into studios and 3d technology. They also invest a fair bit of time improving models with 2.0/3.0 rigging post debut.
Covers 3d technology has only in recent years caught up to anycolors but there's still a bit of room to grow when it comes to stuff like water physics, reflections and etc. For most people this isn't really that noticeable though.
