Just posted this last thread, and someone was going to give feedback. I want to make this design better.

I'm not sure about colors yet, but it really needs them, so let me break down what you're seeing here.

The idea is that he's an angel that fell from Heaven, but really regrets it. He's got some scars from the Fall (hence his left side being mangled and burnt, exposing a more demonic nature underneath), but he clings to his angelic appearance on the right. He tries to be the best person he can, but sometimes his new demonic nature gets the better of him.

It might be hard to tell, but he technically has no torso-- it's just cloth winding around a core. That's supposed to be a fetus at the center.

The thing stuck in his head used to be his halo, which took the form of a chariot wheel. There's also a shard of it attached to the chain attached to his collar.

The design itself is a bit too busy, particularly in the head. The body can be as busy as you like because nobody really looks at it but the face must be visible, and currently on yours it's partially obscured by both a wing, and someone breaking out of the cheek. Personally I think stuff breaking out of the cheek is grotesque and will make it unpleasant to look at.

I think the lore is too complicated, you've got too many twists in it. Usually a lore is something like

but with yours it's

I don't think there is anything wrong with the concept. It's just got a bit much going on. It might be doable in png form with a good artist. You can do more complex designs easier with a png. But if you try to make it into a live2d it would take so much time to animate without it looking like garbage I doubt any rigger would want to touch it, at least not without charging a fortune.

My suggestion, make a toga as outfit, search for greek and roman stuff as reference, keep the chains, they are cool, but, in a more organized way, leave more exposed skin and put simple tatoos on it ( like demon hunters in WoW style)

It was done to illustrate how shape language can be used effectively to convey information. Which it did. It reads better. You can immediately see that the character is a un-inviting and dangerous.

Even if the appeal of the original was lost, that was not the point of the demonstration. It was about how the character comes across.

It depends on so many factors. I uploaded one video that got constant views everyday for months. The click-through rate/average percentage viewed numbers were nothing special, it's just that the topic was/is really popular and the algo liked it.
Yeah most videos start with good views (content suggesting this video) and just stop no matter how good the metrics are, you will still gain some subscribers. The fun thing with normal videos is that they can be discovered even after years.
