Anyone who has watched Coco since BEFORE HoloEN's debut will actually know this is the best outcome for Coco in general, becoming indie and doing things on her own terms than having to beg for crumbs from management or deal with the black hole of management that is Cover. People don't know just how great Asacoco 1.0 was and only either know about the neutered 2.0 skits or worse, her Reddit Meme Reviews. Coco was long since shackled by management since before the Taiwan incident and she started phoning it in long before her suspension, so I imagine this, combined with the spam, several months of doing pretty much nothing but unarchived karaokes, Reddit meme reviews, and the obligatory gameplay since, with a no-no collab rule as a cherry on top, she just said, "Fuck it, I'm done." I've expressed apprehension about this in regards to other Hololive Talents, specifically Aloe. Triangle herself is clearly not looking to take advantage of Cover, but very blatantly got a surge in interest from Aloefags trying to follow her. It would not be difficult to replicate such a pattern. Mori is primed to do it as well; it's why a lot of people think she'll quit after her year is up. The idea of somebody intentionally and maliciously exploiting Cover for the sake of their own later success as an indie is honestly a pretty frustrating one, since leaks are common and roommate accounts aren't hard to find.
