Vtubers don't owe us content, much like we don't owe them our attention if one of them disappears from the face of the earth and then comes back as if nothing happened. People find a new talent they are interested in, or become a DDD, or just leave the hobby altogether.
But let's not beat around the bush here: Gura would be better off if she did a public announcement about her streaming times and her social media updates and take a stance which she actually sticks to. Even saying "sorry, I'm burnt out, I don't want to do regular streams for the upcoming couple of months, I promise nothing" would be better than just complete silence. But I guess that would be the final nail in the coffin for a considerable amount of fans and she'd rather keep up the hope in them by not saying anything, keeping interest high while she's away.
