I wrote incredibly early on in (like...day one? Two?) DDLC's life and stopped just as early. Made some good friends from it though, so I don't regret it. A strange recurring theme for video game related writing I do.

Names can be hard. Coming up with names of places and characters is often the bane of my existence. I could spend easily an hour just trying to come up with one. You could always look up the latin words for something that kinda relates to your own plot element, and then tax a suffix or prefix to it.

Shouta and the ghost of Comet
Shouta is trying to sleep, alone in his dark home. His parents divorced, his classmates bully him, and he has nothing to do but looking at the crack in the wall. Shouta, despite being a little boy, can feel something watching him, but he no longer care for his well being, no one in the world want him anymore.
The sparkling blue eye in the crack keep staring at Shouta at night for days. Sometimes Shouta can hear someone's breathing behind the crack, sometimes he talks to himself, thinking whatever creature in the dark can listen to him. He doesn't speak much, the pain will make his eyes teary quickly.
But tonight is different, this is the first time Shouta hears a voice come out from the crack, loud and clear:
- Kobanwa?
A slender arm slowly rising from the shadow. Then it's hand open, there's a star-shaped candy in it
- Do you want some candies?
Shouta can't believe his eyes. He retreats to a corner. It take a while for Shouta to gather enough courage to speak up:
- Can you just drop the candy on the floor?
- The candy will disappear
It's a freakin ghost! Shouta wants to run, but eventually he realizes he has no one to rely on. He slowly approach the hand then grabs the candy.
- Who are you?
- It's your shooting star, your diamond in the rough, shining idol Hoshimachi Suisei!
Shouta has no idea who she is. The hand and the voice seem to be female, and it's surprisingly warm. Shouta puts the candy in his mouth, it's apple-flavoured. Shouta breathes a sigh of relief.

The premise and core of the story is cute overall. The first part before the scene break was really strong in painting the scene and kinda establishing the two personalities on a base level. It might be more of a personal preference, but the formatting could benefit from a little distinction between the back and forths the anon and kaela have.
I think a little more background info on the anon itself, his motivations, and how he weighed the risks involved vs the rewards would have been beneficial. Likewise for Kaela I think. Overall it was a cute read and you have the chops and makings to create something cute and interesting with this premise if you choose to use this as a springboard.
Probably just as important, I want to point out that it's awesome that you went from a previously scrapped idea, to taking the plunge and doing something with it anyway! Those kinda guts will take you far, and your stories farther.
