I'm sure you're all aware of the dire situation that our beloved game is facing. The player base has been dwindling for months, and the economy is in shambles. The coin supply is infinite, and the prices of stocks are skyrocketing. We're facing Zimbabwe levels of inflation, and soon we'll need a wheelbarrow of coins to buy a single share of Coco.

Some of you have suggested that we implement a "seasons" mechanic, where every few months the game resets and everyone starts from scratch. This would supposedly create a fresh and exciting experience for new and old players alike. Well, let me tell you why this is a dumb idea.

First of all, seasons would destroy the core appeal of nasfaq: the long-term investment and speculation on your favorite hololive talents. What's the point of buying and holding stocks if they're going to be wiped out every season? Where's the fun in watching the market fluctuate if it's all going to be reset anyway? How can you show your loyalty and dedication to your oshi if you have to start over every time?

Secondly, seasons would not solve the underlying problem of inflation. Sure, it might create a temporary illusion of stability and balance, but it would only postpone the inevitable. As long as the coin supply is infinite and there's no limit or cost to buying stocks, the prices will eventually go up again. And then what? Another reset? How many times do you think people will put up with that before they get bored and quit?

Thirdly, seasons would alienate and anger a lot of existing players who have invested a lot of time and effort into building their portfolios. Imagine spending months or even years collecting coins, buying stocks, diversifying your assets, analyzing trends, making predictions, participating in events... only to have it all erased in an instant. How would you feel? Betrayed?

What the game actually needs is a split and reverse split mechanic based on volume.

Also options trading but that is wizardry and I don't even want to get into trying to figure that out.

Anyway since the production of coins is infinite you need to encourage buying and selling. This will bring back volume. But to essentially "punish" low volume coins you could implement a reverse split which would increase the value of coins but also remove coins from the market. Higher volume coins would in turn be "punished" with a split which would devalue the coin and flood the market with more of that coin in turn lowering volume. These splits and reverse splits would essentially inject volume into the market as people try to exit or enter positions and attempt to make plays on coins. It would also regulate the creation of new coins as people will stop buying coins that receive to many splits and will in turn focus on coins that just underwent a reverse split. Couple this with dividends and adjustments and it can create more opportunity for newer players to make big money while forcing people to be more strategic with their positioning in the market.

This way, you can experience the thrill of nasfaq all over again, without having to worry about inflation or stagnation. You can try new strategies, discover new vtubers, and compete with other players on equal footing.

Sounds amazing, right? Well, it gets even better. Seasons also come with a special event called "the great reset". The great reset is when all the vtubers' share prices are set to 1 coin each for a limited time. This means that you can buy as many shares as you want of any vtuber you want for dirt cheap. Imagine owning 100% of Gura's shares for only 100 coins! Imagine being able to buy every single vtuber in existence for less than 2000 coins! Imagine the possibilities!

The great reset is the best thing that could ever happen to nasfaq. It would create a huge surge of activity and excitement in the game. It would attract new players and bring back old ones. It would make nasfaq fun again.

Also another way to keep things running would be to allow lending. Essentially as a way to reward the big money players for playing the game so well. You can allow them to pay a fee and become lenders which they could could collect interest on. Then we could lower the start up payouts which would incentivize people to work off of margin using money that already exists instead of producing new money.
