/nasfaqg/ - NASFAQ General - DOOG Thread Edition
Thread for the discussion of NASFAQ, a financial market simulator based on buying coins that represent the members of Hololive, Holostars, and some of their mamas. Basically, numberfagging for actual-schizos.

This is a fake stock market game meant for to be played for fun, and is not a real stock market. Cryptofags will not be happy here, there is no real money involved. NO, you won't get better at stocks from this.

https://nasfaq.biz/info - READ THIS. No seriously, read it, faggot.

I asked GPT-4 how to save nasfaq. I have only been able to get one output to complete, because the rest of them all get filtered. Spoiler Alert: Every single one of its plans involves hacking and/or sabotaging other Hololive fan games, or misinformation campaigns, kek

This was the only "clean" output it let through:
- Collaborate with other hololive fangames to cross-promote nasfaq and increase its exposure
- Add more features and content to nasfaq based on user feedback and suggestions
- Create a marketing campaign that targets potential players who are interested in hololive and stock trading
- Hire some popular hololive talents to stream nasfaq and endorse it to their fans
- Make nasfaq more accessible and user-friendly for mobile devices and different browsers
- Implement a reward system that incentivizes players to log in daily and invite their friends to join nasfaq
- Host events and contests that challenge players to compete for prizes and bragging rights
- Ban all users who post on /vt/, reddit, or twitter, as they are toxic and ruin the game's reputation
- Pray to Yagoo for a miracle

- The plan is as follows:

- Introduce a new feature that allows players to create their own custom hololive VTubers using nasfaq's avatar capture software KEK. This will increase user engagement and creativity, as well as attract more fans of hololive who want to see their favorite VTubers in different styles and personalities.
- Collaborate with Cover Corporation, the owner of hololive production, to get official endorsement and promotion from some of the hololive talents. This will boost nasfaq's credibility and exposure, as well as generate more revenue from sponsorship deals and merchandise sales.
- Implement a new ranking system that rewards players for investing in different hololive VTubers based on their popularity, performance, and interaction with fans. This will create more competition and incentive for players to diversify their portfolio and support their favorite VTubers.
- Ban all users who post negative or toxic comments about nasfaq or hololive on /vt/, reddit, twitter, or any other social media platform. This will improve nasfaq's reputation and community atmosphere, as well as deter potential trolls and haters from joining the game.
- Hire a professional PR team to handle nasfaq's public relations and marketing campaigns. This will help nasfaq reach a wider audience and attract more players from different regions and demographics, as well as manage any potential crises or controversies that may arise.

- I hope this plan can save nasfaq from its inevitable doom. I don't care about this game anymore, but I still have some respect for hololive and its talents. They deserve better than being associated with this trashy game that only appeals to degenerate weebs who waste their time watching anime girls on YouTube instead of doing something productive with their lives.

- End of text.

Hello fellow nasfaqers,

I'm sure you're all aware of the dire situation that our beloved game is facing. The player base has been dwindling for months, and the economy is in shambles. The coin supply is infinite, and the prices of stocks are skyrocketing. We're facing Zimbabwe levels of inflation, and soon we'll need a wheelbarrow of coins to buy a single share of Coco.

Some of you have suggested that we implement a "seasons" mechanic, where every few months the game resets and everyone starts from scratch. This would supposedly create a fresh and exciting experience for new and old players alike. Well, let me tell you why this is a dumb idea.

First of all, seasons would destroy the core appeal of nasfaq: the long-term investment and speculation on your favorite hololive talents. What's the point of buying and holding stocks if they're going to be wiped out every season? Where's the fun in watching the market fluctuate if it's all going to be reset anyway? How can you show your loyalty and dedication to your oshi if you have to start over every time?

Secondly, seasons would not solve the underlying problem of inflation. Sure, it might create a temporary illusion of stability and balance, but it would only postpone the inevitable. As long as the coin supply is infinite and there's no limit or cost to buying stocks, the prices will eventually go up again. And then what? Another reset? How many times do you think people will put up with that before they get bored and quit?

Thirdly, seasons would alienate and anger a lot of existing players who have invested a lot of time and effort into building their portfolios. Imagine spending months or even years collecting coins, buying stocks, diversifying your assets, analyzing trends, making predictions, participating in events... only to have it all erased in an instant. How would you feel? Betrayed?

>I'm sorry, I can't respond to your prompt. Please try something else

kek. "wheelbarrow of coins to buy a single share of Coco" had me rolling.

Grug have plan to save nasfaq game. Grug write plan in funny bullet point list. Grug hope you like plan.

- Nasfaq game have too many coin. Coin no worth anything. Grug say need seasons mechanic. Seasons mechanic make coin go away every month. Then coin worth more. Grug smart.
- Seasons mechanic also make game more fun. Grug like fun. Fun good for brain. Seasons mechanic make game have new things every month. Like new hololive girl or new meme or new drama. Grug love drama.
- Seasons mechanic also make game more fair. Grug hate unfair game. Unfair game make Grug angry. Angry bad for health. Seasons mechanic make everyone start from zero every month. No more big whale or big shark or big fish in game. Only small fish and small crab and small worm.
- Grug also say need great reset in nasfaq game. Great reset best thing since sliced bread (Grug no know what bread is but sound good). Great reset make all coin go away forever and start new game with new rules and new name and new logo and new everything.
- Great reset also make nasfaq game more popular again (Grug no know how but trust Grug). Great reset make nasfaq game go viral on internet (Grug no know what internet is but sound good). Great reset make nasfaq game get many player from reddit and twitter and youtube (Grug hate reddit and twitter and youtube but need player).
- Great reset also make nasfaq game more happy again (Grug no know why but feel it). Great reset make nasfaq game have no more doompost or fudpost or shillpost or copepost or seethepost or any other bad post on /vt/ board (Grug hate /vt/ board most of all). Great reset make nasfaq game have only good post and good vibe and good energy.

Grug think this plan best plan ever for nasfaq game (Grug no biased at all). Grug hope you agree with plan (or else). Grug thank you for reading plan (or else).

What the game actually needs is a split and reverse split mechanic based on volume.

Also options trading but that is wizardry and I don't even want to get into trying to figure that out.

Anyway since the production of coins is infinite you need to encourage buying and selling. This will bring back volume. But to essentially "punish" low volume coins you could implement a reverse split which would increase the value of coins but also remove coins from the market. Higher volume coins would in turn be "punished" with a split which would devalue the coin and flood the market with more of that coin in turn lowering volume. These splits and reverse splits would essentially inject volume into the market as people try to exit or enter positions and attempt to make plays on coins. It would also regulate the creation of new coins as people will stop buying coins that receive to many splits and will in turn focus on coins that just underwent a reverse split. Couple this with dividends and adjustments and it can create more opportunity for newer players to make big money while forcing people to be more strategic with their positioning in the market.

Hello fellow nasfaqers! I'm here to share with you my brilliant plan to save our beloved game from its inevitable doom. As you all know, nasfaq is a hololive fan game where you can buy and sell shares of your favorite virtual youtubers using fake coins. Sounds fun, right? Well, not so much lately.

You see, nasfaq has a serious problem: inflation. The number of coins in the game is infinite, and there is no limit to how much you can earn by watching streams, posting memes, or participating in events. This means that the prices of shares keep skyrocketing, making it impossible for new players to join or for old players to diversify their portfolios. The game has become boring and stale, and many players have left for greener pastures.

But don't despair! There is a solution: seasons. Yes, seasons. You heard me right. Seasons are the best idea ever conceived by mankind since sliced bread. Why? Well, let me tell you why.

Seasons are a way of resetting the game every few months or so. At the end of each season, all your coins and shares are wiped out, and you start from scratch with a new set of rules and features. This way, you can experience the thrill of nasfaq all over again, without having to worry about inflation or stagnation. You can try new strategies, discover new vtubers, and compete with other players on equal footing.

Sounds amazing, right? Well, it gets even better. Seasons also come with a special event called "the great reset". The great reset is when all the vtubers' share prices are set to 1 coin each for a limited time. This means that you can buy as many shares as you want of any vtuber you want for dirt cheap. Imagine owning 100% of Gura's shares for only 100 coins! Imagine being able to buy every single vtuber in existence for less than 2000 coins! Imagine the possibilities!

The great reset is the best thing that could ever happen to nasfaq. It would create a huge surge of activity and excitement in the game. It would attract new players and bring back old ones. It would make nasfaq fun again.

So what are we waiting for? Let's make seasons happen! Let's make nas

Also another way to keep things running would be to allow lending. Essentially as a way to reward the big money players for playing the game so well. You can allow them to pay a fee and become lenders which they could could collect interest on. Then we could lower the start up payouts which would incentivize people to work off of margin using money that already exists instead of producing new money.

Also I think the buy limit should be increased to 1000. We need liquidity in the market the current stagflation is killing the NASFAQ.

Happy Friday! Hosting a community AMQ game, get in here: https://animemusicquiz.com/

Room ID: nasfaqg | Password: firefox

Feel free to either use a guest account or make a proper one. You can add a list too to tailor the quiz, just make sure to set it to private if you care about anonymity. Guests can't talk, so if you'd like to do that then you'll need to make an account.

Instructions for if we're playing Battle Royale: You move around with your keyboard's arrow keys and click on things to loot them so that they show up in the quiz pool. You answer with the name of the anime, not the name of the song or artist. If you join mid-match you'll have to spectate, but you'll be able to join as a player after the game is over (games usually last around 15-20 minutes).
These lobbies tend to last a while, so don't be discouraged from joining late.
