Department for Protecting the Public Security, Morality and Order, is often what the Secretariat is associated with because of many circumstances.

The infamous Room 214 has become the code name for the entire ministry itself because of its rather radical aspects.

The Anchisukiru, as they go by, have three main objectives in mind
>1. The policing and rooting out of radical ideologies, cults, and agents of chaos, of all sorts
>2. Keeping the "national pulse" of morality alive.
>3. Bringing to light all evil to be purged.
This is rather poorly worded.

They have no issue using all measures of backhanded tactics to achieve their objectives, and if that means breaking the law to protect the moral law, they will do it.

Those found to be troublesome by the Anchisukiru are monitored closely and apprehended/eliminated if necessary. Intense and brutal methods of torture are used to extract all possible information from the subjects before their usefulness expires, either by their death once they become disposable or being sent to trial that will result in them becoming "Rehabilitated" through intense manual labour on national infrastructure. By "Rehabilitated", we of course mean used as free labour for the rest of their lives. Care is taken to ensure however that such as person truly is guilty before either of these fates are granted to them.

Their motto is rather perturbing:
"すべての脅威は、必要な手段で無力化する必要があります。"
or "All threats must be neutralized by any means necessary."

Whatever a "threat" can be labeled as can be the truly terrifying part of this motto for many as it can be seen as merely a voice of discontent against the Emperor.

Nonetheless, from the shadows, the Anchisukiru will continue to lurk for decades if not centuries to come. They have already destroyed all aspects of Vitalis Septum within the Empire after a vicious but victorious fight, and it is rumoured that all people who live in the Empire have their own case files or are watched by the Anchisukiru. Whether that is true or not, is left up to the imagination of all. For the Anchisukiru relish the fear that they bring...

I realized there was a bit of a pataphysical loophole with vitipair production where the morinium particles inexplicably did not annihilate with each other at all times, so I've added an additional mechanic. The morinium particles are in a state of supercriticality right after transference, which allows them to undergo the annihilation reaction.

Not really. Its pretty mild inside most of the forests and while there are a bit of mountains near our far eastern borders, the forests dont really reach up there.

This is the draft for the database types for like the 0.1 version of the game.
When you sign up you get a "governance" of the smallest level (Settlement). You'll also be randomly assigned 2 or 3 resource nodes from the available resource nodes of the country you picked when you signed up. An "Entertainment" node will be default for every country.
Basic gameplay loop for now is: assign population numbers to specific resource nodes. The more people on a node, the more of that resource you get. Happiness only comes from the entertainment node or from luxury nodes. Happiness = how well your people work. You can send trade requests to other players to ask for resource you might not have. Enough resources and you get to upgrade your governance level which gets you more people.
First governance to reach Capital level gets to set country-wide rules for all governances in that country.

The GovernanceLevel values are actually percentages, so you'll have to move the decimal if you want the actual numbers. Countries are going to start with a max pop of 10 million so Settlements will start with 100, and Capitals max out at 300K. All of these are going to be mostly variable at runtime though so if things need tweaking later we can adjust as needed

Still writing deadbeat but I'm redoing some parts as the pacing and language sounds like it was written by an adolescent. Some quick questions though:

A bit like snow with Inuits, there's a thousand ways to refer to Death and Mori on Moriji. First, it would be good to know that Mori is the fundamental concept of Death for deadbeats, not just an associated entity. So, a phrase like "In Death's honor" would proclaim you're doing an action to celebrate the Goddess. As for specific monikers, commoners might call her "The Goddess", "Beloved Death", "The Cold Embrace", "Good Death", "Lady of Death" and "Grim Reaper" too, "Just Mori", "Mori" as well as any other combinations you can think of. There would also be some local variation to this, as Deadbeats are quite culturally eclectic from municipality to municipality.
There is one specific name that priesthood from the Goddess Faithful are much more likely to use, simply "My Mori". The scripture is the content created by Mori herself from her POV, so there the phrase "Your Mori" is mainly used.

Death and rebirth is key, yes, but simply extending your life is not in itself considered to be a bad thing. After all, it doesn't matter how long you push it, eventually Mori will come for you. You might want to know that priestesses from the Goddess Faithful are able to extend their lifetime by infusing themselves with chuubanite. This kind of infusion would kill and/or drive to madness most normal people, priestesses tend to be individuals with a predisposed tolerance for it. This lichen might be a way to replicate those effects with fewer of the constraints, and with the downside of relying on a fungi?

Regarding the case-by-case, basically, if you're extending a honorable life that lives according to Mori's values, it's probably okay. If you're extending a selfish life that leeches vital energy from others and interferes with their freedom, they'll probably get a visit from the magical police. And you can account any local corruption that might be occurring on top of that.

It would be a gradient from south to north. The farther South you are, the more aligned with and organized by the Goddess Faithful the religion is, especially as you get closer to the Underworld and Mt. Mori. As you move farther North, while there are always Goddess Faithful shrines around, there will be some deviations in terms of rituals. I would expect differences between coastal groups and groups that are farther inland as well.

The Goddess Faithful doesn't look fondly on any large organizations, governments or corporations, but Tripoint is a steadfast supporter of Moriji's interests, so it has more leeway than most. Yep, though the log and sqrt functions lack an asymptote, which means the derivative comes to a sudden stop when you reach 100%. Which honestly isn't an issue for gameplay, but it's a bit more logical if the derivative tapers to 0 as you approach maximal efficiency. The sigmoid-derived functions handle that.

Settling with this for now. From what remember, using e makes things more "natural", and I like the drop off it has. Essentially it wont really punish you until you lapse past like 50% happiness.

Oh, I did have this weird idea. It would be fungi that is in a symbiotic relationship with some (or even just one) species of whale. It grows where you'd expect to find barnacles, replacing them in this ecological niche. They'd form those chitinous, spiked plates that help the whales protect themselves. In theory there's nothing wrong with fully recycled matter if its void of all toxins and disease. The thing is those toxins and disease have to go sonewhere to be processed. Radioactive mushrooms that compost sewage would most likely not be edible themselves. But the clean nutritious soil they leave behind can be used by edible plants instead.

There's also a certain instinctual dignity when talking about eating things made from humans. Adversion to cannibalism is not just a taboo in civilized society. Its instinct. Cannibalism is a last resort when there's nothing else to eat. I think the reason humans don't want to eat other humans is because of our psychology to tend the sick.
