It might be just me and i don't blame you guys for liking it but if you weren't there to enjoy the Fes live, what's the point in watching it on stream? i mean it's all prerecorded (the band on the sides seems to be at least playing the instruments live, or pretending to) so i don't understand the appeal. What's the appeal to you anon? i want to know

Cuz the Online experience is the better experience dummy, those who are on Stage only see a Huge ass Monitor having The Talents sing and dance while moving left to right.

Meanwhile us Online Peeps see the performance in multiple Best Angles possible

Can you imagine Ina trying to sing and do a dance routine live? These aren't professional stage performers they're livestreamers. Maybe a half dozen out of all of them have the skills to sing and dance live. At least they actually do dance their part, even if it's prerecorded, rather than just hire dancers like Nijisanji does. That feels even less authentic.

The appeal is honestly to see your oshi perform and if you’re with other fans it’s like enjoying a live with your own kind. I watched it live and I was in my oshi’s chat for the live with other fans and was really good. I haven’t been in a concert in my entire life (mostly because I don’t like the music that is listened to where I live) so it was a pretty nice experience.
Having said that while I know the music is a track I think the dance is live. Is there proof the dance is also prerecorded? I’m very bad calling that out.

What is the story behind your oshi anon? Why is she doing this vtuber stuff? As a hobby? To collect simpbux? For hololive, this is the culmination of their hardwork, the long wait and the pains to get there, all leads to this stage. Their spotlight, that few minutes to show everyone your best and as an appreciation for each and every fan's support. It's a success story filled with singing, dancing, colors and festivities. And it continues to showcase new talents everytime from a treerrat diva to a dancing pop rat. Finally, remember that not everything lasts forever and these moments are hopefully looked back upon kindly as hololive in its glory days.

I've been to esports tourneys before and it's true. Sometimes you literally can't see shit on those big ass monitors if you're looking at them at the wrong angle. Worst part is that I got to enter for free and was sitting in a VIP box. I can imagine that people sitting at the side don't have the best view of the concert.

>>45655178
it's about the atmosphere. Even if I'm not among the crowd the camera and stream does a good job of giving the audience at home perspective of how many people are there. It's also about everyone coming together to share their love of hololive because everyone has a reason to tune in. Having every holomem perform something on stage is special because for most that's typically only 3-5 times a year on birthdays, anniversaries, and events and this one has a high budget so the performance itself is guarenteed to be high quality. Having your oishi show what shes got in her performance to other fans of hololive who might not be familiar with her feels good too.

Your oshi might have had a pre-recorded performance, but mine broke formation when the song was fading out to yell out a thank you, bouncing around the stage.
If you think she just faked all that in a recording booth, you might actually be a fucking robot, which would explain why you "don't understand the appeal", so there you go.

Honestly the tickets are dumb expensive. It’s not even funny how expensive that shit is. Isn’t it like 50$ per concert? If you wanted to watch the entire fes it would be like 150$. 150$ to watch a live on stream on a shitty platform where buffering happens when you could just wait 1 day to watch it fully for free.
Music festivals aren’t that expensive and you get to watch a lot of bands live in front of you. That fact the venue ticket was like 10$ more expensive than the streaming ticket is insane.

exactly. i do agree with all the other anons who are saying because it's your oshis chance for the spotlight. all year long it's building up to this moment. even if your oshi is less popular, this is a chance they have to show everybody what they're made of. ollie and bae were both newbies and they came out the shining stars. can't imagine how fucking hype fans of theirs were watching them

That’s retarded. I saw some fellow japanese fans who couldn’t watch it because they are students or didn’t have the money yet they buy the merch and the stuff my oshi sells every single time.
“If you are not blindly paying overpriced tickets then you aren’t the target audience” my ass. The only thing they gain from making it so expensive is paywalling hardcore fans who don’t have over 200$ to buy the tickets, normalfags won’t buy them no matter the price.

>> No.45658995

>>45658374
If you're that poor you can just pirate it. And if you feel bad about that just toss them whatever you were willing to spend on tickets on some merch or voice packs or superchats or whatever.

>> No.45659626

>>45658995
I’m not talking about myself. I explicitly stated the case of japanese fans who buy the merch but don’t have 200$ dollars cash to spend in the live because they are students. Nips don’t pirate because piracy to them is worse than incestuous rape.
To say those guys aren’t the target audience is straight up retarded. Cover is trying to make money and paywalling hard a stream is not exactly the best way to do it. If they made the stream tickets cheaper more people would buy them and that’s exactly the logic behind music festivals around the world: private concerts are more expensive than festivals.

Anon, are you just completely unaware of ticket prices for concerts? Average ticket prices for concerts last year where ~$80, with popular bands shooting up to several hundred. $50 is a honestly a steal.
>when you could just wait 1 day to watch it fully for free.
I'm not paying just to see the concert, I'm also paying to support more content like it in the future. Same reason I have a membership for my oshi, I know she'll use it to put out great entertainment I enjoy.

>> No.45662514

Then the students should fuck off considering how easy it is to get a part-time job in Japan. The ticket prices were announced so many months ago that they could have earned $200 in that time. I know so many Japanese people who pirate shit. A lot of them are just smarter than nippleboy, but a lot of them are also stupid enough to get caught and end up in the news.
Concert is already sold out to the point that tickets have to be balloted for. The concert goes on for much longer compared to last year which also means they have to pay increased server costs for streaming, payment for more manpower (setup/dismantle event, helpdesk for virtual event outside office hours), etc. Pricing is pretty fair for a 3 hour concert too.

I've watched plenty of live concerts, they're not prerecorded and I'd say only about 10% at most are lip-syncing.

I don't really get the Fes appeal for non-live at all. I get it a bit in person as it still has that audience feel to it, but yeah, it's 100% per-recorded and I don't get why people act like it's not. A bunch of the EN girls were back in the US and streaming withing half a day of the event ending. It's legitimately not possible to get from Japan to the US / Canada in that time, let alone back to their countries, back to their homes, rested, then setup for their streams.

all of the recordings are synced to a click track. the rhythm section would have the click in their monitor mix, and the rest of the band just needs the rhythm section. it's very bizarre because it's extremely obvious that the vocal mixes are the victims of very, very heavy editing of tons of takes.
