In a way it was worse back then. We started out with a relatively small selection of vtubers so that it was somewhat possible to watch them all and still get some amount of rest in between, even though thread shenanigans or guerilla streams would happen whenever anons chose to sleep. The list only grew gradually so that viewers went from watching one after the other, to multi-stream drifting, to no longer being able to watch everyone and having to make a decision on who to drop, which felt more painful and personal at the time. Now the list is already massive and the mere suggestion of trying to watch them all is inherently insane.

Actually not sure. Nina got partnership on her first try, but she had a very steady growth from her debut all the way until she applied. Koopa got it on her second try, and she took her somewhat sizeable following from YT and started off with 100+ views from the get go. Bat has a long twitch streaming history, but only started picking up recently I think. She'll get there, she's got the numbers and can keep them consistently.

I think I explained this a lot of times but once more is fine.
Bat had a huge spike in viewers in april (?) because of her marathon, that was a huge buff that got her a higher viewer average but it was sudden, so Twitch rejected it because it could drop right after that month, then on the following months she stayed stable at 100-ish, which should be already enough, however, it depends on the number of partners in her region if Twitch will accept her or not, and that could explain her second rejection, but they ask for at least 30 days between each try for partnership.
Koopa had a 120 average for her second try, since the first got rejected because she was too new to the platform, and since it was stable from the start, she was accepted.
It's not super predictable though.
