I don't think Lumi is particularly entertaining, I mean most of the time she just focuses on the game and her commentary is nothing special, but still I always enjoy the streams. They're always engaging, there are other vtubers I love and they are more "entertaining" but I don't get that feeling from their streams even when they play the same games

Hello once again /vrt/. Good evening and night.

I would like to ask, is playing a remastered version of an old game still "retro"? Say for instance ONLY the graphics changed and game-breaking bugs removed -- all other details of the original game remain the same.

I ask this because I would like to play an Official Retro(tm) game one day but I lack a CRT monitor that it was illustrated for. With a modern monitor, the quality is actually worse imo. So I figured I could fix this by playing a remastered version of the same game.

Thank you for your responses! Yeah, I was thinking of castlevania, which I imagine would be pretty hard to remake into something ridiculous. So it should be good I think / hope.

But I also just considered another option though. Apperently, there is a really well-made CRT emulation filter called CRT-Royale. With that, I wouldn't have any qualms playing the original game on a modern monitor.
