I also watched hal, gorilla and bosna solo challenge and the cheater problem isn't really that bad compared to the astel team challenge. Apex ranked is actually pretty well thought out. You CAN get on unlucky streaks, but the majority of your time will be spent ranking up if you are better than the people around you. A good game can easily net you 30+ to 100+ rp and make up for one or two bad games. The main reason is Astel's lack of connections especially to the pro Apex scene. Astel and especially Izuru have been pretty vocal about their dislike for gachikois and try to keep parasocial relationships to a minimum (Roberu also keeps a healthy distance between himself and his audience, which I respect him for), they may joke around once in a while, but if they see people start taking it seriously, they won't hesitate in putting them in their place.
