It has a story which explains the different situations and connects everything.
Understanding it makes it more fun.
For example I think it was in the second movie that Oboro and Mikado had a fight and separated because of it.
When Mikado ends up in the dinosaur space the first thing she says to the dinosaurs is that she is very tasty with an oujo-sama laugh, then realizes it was not the best way to give a first impression to dinosaurs who are hungry.

The songs also have very fitting lyrics for every situation which makes it even better.
In the middle of the second live they are talking to their shadows who embody their negative ego and have an internal monologue with their masked fake self.
When they become honest with their desires they go super sayan and then they reunite and express their desire in an embarrassing way full of youth.

As a side note the persons who made this story seem to have a good level of personal development to understand this which can be seen in the amount of details, meaning and soul present everywhere.
This is a real movie and a lot better than many things you can find in the official theaters.

What makes a movie good is the message it has, the values it carries, and the how fun it is.
It's great from every angle.

How many games we get to play depends on how well we do. We are without a manager, so a lot of that will come down to luck. About 2/3 of teams do not have a manager, and it basically puts us in an automatic setup. A caretaker's job is to manage everything about the team *other* than the game itself. Where the manager's job is to actually manage the team roster, tactics, substitutions, etc. It generally requires someone who knows what they are doing in PES, and I don't.

Speaking of Cytube, If we want to have custom emotes to use (like, in chat), they are due on the 24th. I'll pull more details tomorrow, but this is very low priority for me compared to other things.

However this also makes me more curious.
Oboro and Mikado add to the feeling of immersion when they appear in other live events for example with their new zombie appearances.
But it makes me curious to learn how much of that is playing a role and how much reality there is to it.
Good actors will change their mindset to become the role they are playing as if it was real.
This can be dangerous and make some suicidal when they are acting as bad guys, but it's also similar to what we do when we imitate the good qualities of people.
It would be interesting to find out how they are in real life, and the part behind the scenes when they do rehearsal.
That could make for an interesting gap of cuteness.
Something tells me they were recruited to fit the role and may be closer to the characters they are playing than we imagine.
In this case this opens many possibilities.

This is a different concept than streaming vtubers which is closer to animating a story with persistent characters.
Vtubers became popular because anime characters often disappeared after 12 episodes and 1 season, but vtubers are persistent in the real world and really exist making it a lot better for attachment and getting to know someone.

The limitation is that they may not be able to live stream freely to stay in character, and this generates higher costs for the production.
However the new AI technology should soon reduce the costs for these processes and make it easier to prepare these events.

Actually the audio is not due on the 22nd along with the aesthetics (basically graphics-- textures, portraits, logos, uniforms, models, etc). It's due after that. She may get a bigger role in a future event or get her own story arc where she is the main character.
I think she was recruited later than Mikado and Oboro for her role and may be doing another activity in parallel which we don't know.
She is playing a role in this and posting on twitter with the related account for promotion.
I don't think it's her main activity, but it's possible she was recruited fresh from a singing or artistic school directly for this role.
Knowing how Oboro and Mikado where recruited who help understand more.

It's hard to analyze someone through their acting.
It's possible she is an introverted thinking type in real life.
It's easier to play a role if you can use your real self as a basis.
The more different from your real self a role is the more difficult it will to act like it and to understand the behavior to reproduce and the higher the probability of a dissonance.
There is always some truth in the role people play.

But I would need to see how she interacts in a less prepared event to know more.

I added Zan support to https://github.com/xenova/chat-downloader
and fed the output into https://github.com/9001/softchat to generate the ASS (if you look at the top of the ASS files it has the command).

Zan chat format is basically a copy of YouTube stream chat with the inclusion of some extra Japanese stuff (there's free superchat stickers in Zan and you can actually write text along with a sticker) so it wasn't too bad to map it to a chat_downloader friendly format. Login cookies are required to look up user information (which you need to get the username / avatar) but the VOD / livestream comments themselves require no authentication. They also don't get deleted.

You have to login and purchase the lives to find these links (since they're stored in the HTML ticket page) so that last part is really only really useful for testing your shit after the archive period ends.

There is another interesting part about LiLYPSE.
They said in their first event that they were looking forward to having a real physical event, but it seems that they didn't do it yet for some reason and are streaming the events online on Z-aN.

An interesting thing in the 3rd event is that Ribon was missing for her song part because she was in a Re:Act live event at the same time and only appeared as a picture and Mikado made a small mistake starting to say a different word at one moment in the end.
It was at 3 hour 17 minutes in the original event.
While giving her definition of conquest.
Jibun no shihaku (?) which she corrected to shihaika (control)

This is interesting for 2 reasons.
First because this is a real live event and a real performance happening in real time for which they spend weeks to prepare and learn their script, and role.
This is the complete opposite of prerecorded events Hololive is doing and one of the reason it's full of soul.
This performance is alive while it's happening and it requires a lot of preparations and that's why they would like to have a live audience for it to see the reactions to their acting and result to their long preparations.

I once saw something like this with real actors, but I didn't really like the play, and I was too young to appreciate that anyway.
It was about Galileo's conflict with the Church over heliocentrism, but what I didn't like is that they gave it a modern adaptation and the main actor playing Galileo made him look like someone insane and went naked at the end to show he didn't hide anything and was free or something.
That play was played with real persons in real life without virtual avatars but it was corrupted and fake in some ways because it didn't try to convey a message with a particular meaning and disrespected the real history.

This is different. They are using virtual avatars and can create different scenes in the virtual reality, but what they make is genuine.
Maybe I will try to see it live one day.

The second interest part is analyzing the meaning of the word she subconsciously let out which may reveal more of her real nature.
But I don't understand the meaning of the word she was trying to say.
The DeepL translator gives 2 possible meanings: waning moon?, master poet (Chinese poetry?)

from what i remember, they had revorn which was described as virtual idol audition in 2020. they originally said 10 finalists will get 3d models. kanau and yumeji are the two chuubas that came from that audition. yumeji being the grand prix winner and officially became part of avalon around july 2021. kanau stayed as "research student" for another year before she's officially became permanent member of avalon around sep/oct last year. ides on the other hand just kinda showed up at the end of archetype as the narrator. and at the end of egoideal, we had the first glimpse of ides' model with her singing ghost rule. the artists page on virtual avex website still hasn't been updated to include kanau or ides. virtual avex official twitter also hasn't mention ides.
only interesting new piece of info was from the marinasu anniversary live poster art. kanau and ides are grouped together. they sang together in autonomy. i assume they'll be in the same unit or something. there are 3 other silhouettes with similar design that i was expecting to be introduced during the marinasu anniversary live but that was postponed so we won't know until next month. how they will all fit into the avalon universe story line, i have no idea.

I discovered MaRiNaSu through a Cluster event with Sora and Subaru, where Subaru won the first prize with her singing.
From what I understood Mahiro was the one who started this activity in high school and wanted to try the vtuber route.
Later Rin, Naho and Subaru joined her from the same school to do it as a group.

I don't know much more about how that works behind the scenes.

Truth is, maintaining the status quo and not firing them is generally cheaper and easier. Provided they are yab free and still actually want to be a Holo, of course. Its really so they have more personal freedoms in their own lives.
At the end of the day we don't really see Cover kicking people for inactivity, period. If and when it does happen, I think it would be a bad move on their part. Make them put in their dues for the first few years and build their fanbases, and then relax the reigns.

The key for an early retirement is either having one or multiple semi passive side hustles for additional income or having accumulated sufficient wealth to use less than 4% of it per year.
You need to calculate your spending and required income for this calculation and to have an estimation of how your income source will change with time.

For someone with wealth this means they can live without working if they have more than 25 times their yearly spending invested and have a proper financial advisor or learnt to invest properly and to adapt their mindset for the volatility of investments.
For someone with side hustles the key is to generate more than what you spend but it's not really considered as retiring if you need to keep working.
A mixed solution is to reduce your working time as a wage slave once your wealth and income from side hustles reached a certain level.

If you can grow your side hustle to replace your main job and it requires less time and energy then it becomes a valid alternative and can be used to increase your investments to reach that x25 ratio.

By the way the Japanese market is a bit fucked up thanks to negative interest rates so it may be a good idea to avoid that, but that may change in the future and there are good opportunities.
However it's probably not a good time to invest in real estate if a bubble is going to pop.
Increasing interest rates would reduce the price of property by 10% for each 1% of increase rates.

I may allude to my other hobbies in a random Twitter post or three, but I intentionally have most of my other activities contained to other accounts (not on Twitter, just in general I mean). A lot of people do something like this. Not just for privacy, but to present a certain image for their accounts that they interact with.

We post and shitpost here thinking it's anonymous, but more people than we expect are lurking.

If you have a twitter account it can be assumed some people will go through all your posts or the most recent ones.
I am sure vtubers do this too, as they can usually only see their fans during physical held live events.
This way they can remain connected with their fans in a day to day manner and know their audience.
When there is too much abstraction, the desire for something real is strong.

Don't confuse posting anonymously with being anonymous. It's pretty common etiquette to use the same handle on YouTube and Twitter, and many chuubas will tell you they prefer it this way. If someone wants to be more private, that's up to them, but it's not generally the default. This thread is generally good at avoiding this such as namefagging, namedropping, or gossiping over individual viewers.
If you really want to go full autism, you can try recognize anons by their typing style. Then you can attempt to link it to their Twitter, and try to match their Twitter posts with their posts. Then you can even start to skinwalk them on the thread, too!

Yes this is an efficient way to keep a free mindset while posting by compartmentalizing everything.

I learned this from the How to Win Friends and Influence People book by Dale Carnegie.

Firstly, it might be a waste to even bother debating over player customization since it's entirely possible that the average anon won't even care about any nuances behind the various names, songs and avatars. I'm going to assume that that's not the case and that there is some merit to spending time on these discussions.

If the /vsinger/ team participates in future seasons where time constraints are not as pressing, I think it would be good if the original team creator could share their intentions behind joining the cup so that contributors will have a little more guidance regarding the direction and expectations for suggestions. Some examples of intention could be things like whether the team is intended to have a serious tone like Kamitsubaki's cinematic releases or a jovial tone like Kamitsubaki's NFT attempts, or whether music is intended to be energetic to build hype or beautiful to entrance spectators. With this, suggestions should become a little less scattered since everyone will be on the same page and therefore should be able reach agreements more easily.

It's possible that there is no grand reason for participating in the cup other than that it is a neat idea. Meanwhile, it could also be the case that the team was created to appeal to either internal or external parties. If the team was created primarily for the interest of /vsinger/ regulars, then character suggestions could be less conventional and more obscure since everyone here is already familiar with the prominent singers. Alternatively, if the team was intended to show off /vsinger/'s thread culture or just the singers themselves, then there would be a bigger incentive towards ensuring that customization would result in the most effective exhibition of that type of content. There have already been many artistically conflicting ideas, and again, I think that having an explicit objective would allow people to expand upon each other's suggestions instead having us endlessly hopping from concept to concept. However, this could also stifle creativity since there have been some really interesting suggestions that have arrived later in discussion, which might not have been possible if everyone else had already decided on a different idea earlier on.

I'll use Joucho as an example to summarize all of the above. I think it's important to make the distinction of whether divegrass Joucho represents Kamitsubaki's Joucho or /vsinger/'s caricature of Joucho, whether she's meant to be poetic or comedic, and whether her inclusion is to shill her or for us to circlejerk over. I think that it's possible for customization to be an interesting balance of the above, such as through the name -.. .- .-. .-.. .. -. --. (Darling) since it: (A) has some intrigue and isn't a blatant surface level meme, (B) references her most iconic song, and (C) ties back to THE DARLING OF /VSINGER/, derived from the Yuka vs Joucho poll which itself links to RIOT shillposting and 3DPD debateposting. I think names like this really tie vsinger Joucho and /vsinger/ Joucho together, and I much prefer these layered references over the many one-dimensional names that some other teams feature.
