Just how frowned upon are NSFW artists? I noticed quite a few nsfw artists are anonymous and the ones that used to do it in the past, try to avoid all mentions of them doing nsfw before. Is it really that bad, or is it just an issue if you plan to work for some studio/company?

NSFW art for vtubers is a little different because there are actual girls behind the personalities that are being portrayed, they actually browse the same website that the work is being posted on.
Since the beginning of vtubers, NSFW artists had always avoided putting the names or tags of the character they're drawing. Instead, they use abbreviations of the vtuber's names so they can't find it while ego searching.
Artists in general love to delete their past accounts often because they would normally include their link in their portfolio, and it's definitely better to keep a clean portfolio when applying for more reputable companies.
They keep a side account where they can dump their degenerate stuff for people that are in the know and not company recruiters that just browse the link to get a clue as to how good you are of an artist before hiring you.

I know multiple artists that have a "X artist" and a "X artist NSFW" account. Don't try and name it something different and act like it's a completely unrelated artist that just so happens to have the same artstyle.
Either post both NSFW and SFW all on one account, or make a separate NSFW account

There are probably hundreds of thousands of accounts on twitter, NSFW rated accounts are also "shadowbanned" so you can't get them autofilled in Twitter at all unless you follow them.
Most people won't know unless they stumble onto your account because other degenerates they follow retweet your posts.
Basically you won't be found out unless someone specifically has it out for you, or they are already diving down to like that kind of art.
Just don't link it in your bio or follow your own NSFW account and you'll be fine.

If you don't want to commit to doing exclusively NSFW art then make a separate twitter account or use a different platform to post it. Mostly so people don't only think of you as just a porn artists, and also to protect your main account from getting banned. Depending on the franchise some companies may not want someone who has drawn porn before (particularly in the west) but even Nintendo has hired hentai artists in the past and continues to do so.
