Well, usually if that happens it starts off as "well, talking in chat is pointless now so I'll just stay quiet" then it moves to "if talking in chat is pointless I'll just watch the VOD later" and then I start missing VODs so I watch clips, then I start missing clips, until before I know it they barely even exist to me anymore (just as I to them.) I'd try to stick around, but would likely slowly drift away no matter how hard I tried.

I like vtubers that recognize me, talk to me occasionally in chat or twitter or whatever, and remember little things about me. That's not really something you can expect out of a 4view. It's one of the perils of being a small-mid size vtuber enjoyer, honestly. Often they either explode and you lose the closeness, or they dwindle in mediocrity, lose hope, and quit. Ami is in that rare happy medium area, but it's even rarer that it stays that way. Don't get me wrong, I'd be very happy for her success, but it is what it is you know? I try to be realistic about these things, because I know one day it could happen, and I know once it does things will never be the same.

Depends on the streamer. Some get really attached to their viewers. Some see it as a more personal attack of their content, personality, or character. Not necessarily in a negative sense but in the "I'm not good enough" but they take it too personally. Some just don't care at all.
