You know, despite the fact that we meme on it a lot, "Accelerate" was generally a rather successful business strategy for Ichikara back in the day. Sure they had the occasional drama with Chaika, the dodgeball thing or the Meiro thing, but those were 3 out of what, 100+ livers that were basically "IP material" for them.
They didn't have to give out salary or give them anything other than the most basic 1.0 L2D model, natural selection would do the rest and then their small management team could focus on whoever proved themselves profitable.

JP yabs are mostly isolated instances that only affect whoever is involved in the yab, and even then sometimes they don't get much damage due to the lack of branch-wide interconnectedness.
e.g. Maimoto and Chaika went to bat for Meiro back during her yab, but they didn't really get much fallout for it.
Also if a JP Niji wants to stay away from certain livers, they have the freedom and built in rules to do that.

EN on the other hand, tried too hard to push the "family" angle, going into each others voice calls in the middle of streams, turning every solo stream into a collab, and generally trying to project a "unity" image. This worked for maybe the first 3 waves, but the male waves shredded their audience in twain, and it only got worse the more waves they debuted.

One aspect of this environment that they failed to consider, was that if a new niji recruit wanted to "stay clear" of certain people, this environment made it EXTREMELY DIFFICULT for them to do so. Random people can and would burst into your streams and try to make it about them unless you set strict boundaries, but doing something like that by itself would be considered as an "offense" against the "family" - as Zaion found out the hard way.

This interconnectedness also means that one person's yab becomes the entire fucking GROUP's yab. And so smaller issues that ought to have been handled between the streamer and their audience becomes giant fucking issues.
Also management. Fucking management should NEVER be bringing up shit like "jokes not suitable for Nijisanji talent". NijiJP livers having made literally every dark joke under the fucking sun over their careers, nobody gave a shit back then and nobody gives a shit now. The jokes are between the liver and their audience. There's no "nijisanji as a whole", there never has been, that was what they projected as their STRENGTH for most of their lifetime.
I fucking hope this is something that's only isolated to EN, but considering the IPO, I can only see grim tidings ahead for the company as a whole...

In the JP side Nijisanji did not model themselves over Hololive. They started from the very beginning with the strategy you put forward

In Hololive as a whole, and HoloEN in particular, there is no differentiation between low performing and high performing with regards to what he company provides for their talent.
In the JP side that's easy to see, with Aki and Roboco and Mel and Choco often being side by side with Marine and Pekora and Miko and Subaru in promotional material, advertisement, lives and sponsored content.

The BIGGEST fuckup by NijiEN was pretending Nijisanji could deliver on that for their EN branch as well.

It's because they lost a quite of few viewers to Vshojo thanks to Mori and Niji En. Vshojo and Trash Taste essentially used Mori for her numbers and now look at where Mori is. She lost around 5-6K regular viewers to them and thus, roughly around 6K viewers from the Holo En box were lost. Similarly, Niji En's constant streams last year vs HoloEn's lack of streams caused a lot of Holo En fans to lose to Niji En. Right now see how much do the Holo members struggle when they overlap as supposed to in 2021. So what better way to gather new audience in the HoloEn box than to introduce actual professionals this time who are able to understand that their main target is girls this time who never seemed to watch Hololive. Also I am quite certain that there are plenty of girls like us guys who don't want any yabs or political narratives attached to the streams, but the thing is that earlier, there weren't a lot of males who weren't pushing this propaganda. This is why I feel introducing more males was infact better because the Holo En box seems to have new type of audience now. Also En needs to do more things to attract more tourists who have never watched en for En 3.
