The timeline of events goes as such:

-Kiara announces getting the okay to collab with Coco and also with VShojo, hints at it being 2 people from VShojo. Almost everybody knows it's Vei + someone, probably Nyanners.
-The shitstorm happens
-Veibae announces on her stream that she said "no" to the collab because of the crap it was causing both her and Kiara.
-Kiara does that stream saying that Veibae probably won't happen anytime soon, but still has someone else "who likes her", everybody spams Nyanners in chat.
-Nyanners later makes a decision to back out as well, because she'd feel bad and awkward that Vei was supposed to be there but can't now.

I don't think Mousey is afraid of being attacked like Vei was. Even Vei was more worried for Kiara's sake than her own. Vei can handle it, but she didn't want to bring down shit on Kiara, which is inevitably what would have happened. Nyan backed out for similar reasons but also didn't feel like it was her place to go forward when Vei couldn't. Mousey, on the other hand, is probably more worried about solidarity with her sisters than she is with herself. She may also be worried about Mori catching flak.
