I would say that the rollout of Tempus1-2 was botched, as well as the managment of the EN branch as a whole, but I don't think they lost that much, besides the trust of people who felt abandoned by the decision to enroll T2 instead of EN3.

The biggest problem isn't with the fanbase itself, but with the possible candidates. As much as /vt/ loves to cope with the thousands of excuses to justify the lack of EN3 Occam's razor indicates that they're not even looking at HoloLIVE EN auditions at the moment with how hard they're pushing for StarsEN. If they lost a couple of the ones they locked in for whatever reason or were having trouble finding decent picks (which only makes sense if you still believe in Cover's mythical scouting power) they would've shilled the auditions just like they did with StarsEN, but they never touched that subject once in an entire year on official channels while they did 3 times for the male branch, the last being after the second group of Tempus was already ready to be rolled out because it's completely impossible they still had a spot left 3 weeks before debut. At this point why anyone with self respect even try for HoloEN if Cover themselves aren't hyping for the auditions? NijiEN just opened theirs, Idol has them going since the start of the year, Phase Connect's will end in a month and there might be many other options out there, and even if they don't have the same popularity as HoloEN does is it that worth to let those opportunities go away while waiting what could be an eternity hoping for Cover to give you a reply?
