I've watched streams for a long time. I do not watch streamers that frequently make me cringe. Therefore I do not watch corpo EN vtubers, simple as.

The only truly good NijiENs are Elira, Selen and Pomu. The rest range from ok (Rosemi) to please god make it stop (every gen after Obsydia). HoloEN girls at worst are kinda boring.

I was a long time fan of hololive based on their JPs and knew very little about nijisanji but myth came out and there came this feeling that it was so restricted and filtered. It annoyed me.
Then came the constant breaks
The constant disappearances for weeks at a time
The open disgust towards fans
The million and one pointless Minecraft streams where there was nothing that happened.

Mori was unironically my oshi for a long time but I dropped her shortly before council was announced and I was honestly disgusted at how popular council was predebut.
Then I saw a fairy singing God Knows for literal hours and I knew where I belonged.
I have my qualms with anycolor and nijisanji but I cannot deny that there's almost always something to watch and it's genuinely heartwarming to see people who like streaming so much a 2 hours stream feels short to them.

I don't really watch because of a corp I watch because I enjoy their personality. I've been watching more Vesper recently, can't say I enjoy the new generation with the hyper fuckboys and fujobait for context.

I had enough of the highschool locker room shit/piss humor so I end up not watching most of NijiEN. Rosemi is good, I caught some Pomu too she seems fine, feel free to recommend me similar because I haven't gotten into them much, if there is any.

Kiara is only good in collabs she feels annoying otherwise, I dislike Mori's dad persona and broken japanese but she's leaned pretty heavily into that and I stop ped. Gura doesn't stream. Ina/Ame are great. Most of council except diet Gura are ok.

Only Holos, mainly Fauna, Mumei, Gura and Ina (when they stream), occasionally Kiara.
Tried getting into Nijis multiple times but the peepeepoopoo humor, randomly talking about the nijidudes, fujoshit and general sluttery really filters me. That whole twitch streaming culture is not why I like vtubers.

Both have great members and both are entertaining, there's really no reason to watch only one side.

If they've got a personality I like AND you're playing a game I like or am interested in, I'll most likely watch.

I watch HoloEn exclusively, at this point its habit. I did want to get into NijiEn, but they have so many people and are constantly collaborating with each other, I dont even know where to start so I never bothered.

HoloEN felt very stagnant at some points in 2021 so I started watching indies, some of which including certain ghost maid would become part of lazusidya. I had so much fun at this point of time and Council seemed so mid around debut that I ended up making the full switch to NijiEN + indies. Then Luxiem and the twitchification of nijiEN happened and I stopped following the branch as hard as I was before.
I still think of Pomu as my kamioshi and am very excited for her 3D debut.

Niji are too openly lewd (tho not nearly as bad as that other group with Nyanners)

I've watched all of those at some point but pomu really sealed the deal with me for nijiEN. I can't get back into Myth after lazulight debuted. Xsoleil is pretty good too. I haven't seen much of council but I really like kronii's voice, maybe I'll give her a go if I have spare time.

NijiEN became hard to watch after Luxiem. The collab spam is annoying. I still follow a few, and nostalgia for Lazulight days is fairly strong. From the recent ones Zaion got a follow from me, but overall I moved on to small corpos.

I find HoloEN unbearable to watch, it’s like I’m watching some amateur actors do a skit for elementary school audience. They also never play anything interesting.

For EN vtubers I started with HoloMyth debuts on /jp/ but around a few months after the taiwan arc they got stale and felt forced. Never was interested in Council, by the time they debuted, [Brand Name] meant nothing to me anymore. For JP holos I still watch Haachama though.

For NijiEN I watch Pomu since Lazulight debut, early days were kino but nowadays there's still value too. I also like Selen, Fulgur, Zaion and Kotoka but don't watch them much, no time.

Most of my watching time is spent on indies, with a bit of Phase Connect sprinkled in.

I like watching Kiara because she's an euro and she's the only one I can catch at reasonable EU hours.
I'd be open to giving Niji a shot, but I think they're mostly US focused too, which doesn't work for me.
Otherwise I don't really watch any fem vtubers anymore. I have limited time in my day and if I feel like watching a VOD, I tend to watch the boys instead.
