Watching the so called (US)American "journalism" became more concentrated on politic and gender identity made me wonder.

Why?

I felt that American news media felt more like drug than information sharing. American population flock to their phone/PC/TV and absorbing those news like they're having drugs withdrawal. It's like there's the need to get outraged at least once a day.
