I've been playing since it was 2D. The problem is not so much that it's difficult (though it is really easy to die instantly) but that it has a really clunky and unintuitive control scheme, with everything buried deep inside a dozen different menus and often involving multiple complicated steps, that extremely dumb people like chuubas are bound to struggle with.
