Probably just because it shows off a huge vocal range. Best I can tell from just a quick listen, it goes from about a G4 at the lowest to a G7 at the highest, 3 full octaves of range.

I think it's the opposite, it's the easiest to cover. Other songs you really need a specific voice to pull it off. Listen to Towa's cover of Error for example. I can't imagine anyone else in Hololive pulling off such a cover.

King is generic enough where each girl can apply their own style and it sounds fine.

Seriously though, Risu is a hell of a singer, particularly for an indog. I know that the foreign branches were recruited more for streaming/gaming purposes, but it would be absolutely criminal for Cover not to bring her to JP for a solo set in a Live.

I'm not a huge fan of this song in general but i think Risu did a good job at covering it.

The thing that surprised me the most, when I was listening to original KING for the first time, is that Gumi's voice is pretty meh in this song. Literally half of the covers are better sounding than original.
