The generated images during training gets put in the \textual inversions\ folder and shouldn't interfere with training at all. It's just a default settings render of the current promts it gets from the .txt files in the source directory. That's why I leave the read txt2img checkbox out because you'll get a better understanding of the logs if you have fucked up.

All the embeds talk had me thinking it seems like the perfect way to put two characters in a single prompt without getting their attributes totally mixed up, because the embed is a single thing that's a collection of a lot of aspects of that one character.

It... sort of worked. There's still some mixing but in general it worked better than other attempts at two characters, at least not without putting in a lot of effort fiddling with tags and weights. I did cherrypick the best result out of around 20 though

I wouldn't really say this was painful, the entire prompt is in the filename you can see there. I just set it to generate a bunch while I went and did something else.

I haven't had a ton of success inpainting very large portions of image in the past but I guess I could give that a shot.

I'm mostly training coomer embeds and hypernetworks on the other board. There are a lot handles for tuning but more tokens will almost always learn noise unless the "subject" is very complex. Characters the base network knows very well take a small amount of tokens from simple to complex (e.g. saber: 2 tokens, asuka: 3 tokens, ganyu: 4 tokens). Extra tokens are going to start learning other things from the data such as their outfit, backgrounds, or other random stuff. In the case of Ganyu it actually knows her outfit better than her hair color.

there's no substitute for testing but in general there's just not that much to be learned about a character: hair (style, color, length), eyes (color, style, symmetry), and distinctive decorations (hairpins, horns, animal ears etc...) and a single token can convey a lot of information. If the goal is to also learn their outfit then I can see using more tokens but I just create a separate embed for outfits. This reduces overfitting and it's easier to put that outfit on a different character
