Do it, I had a great time with a vtuber who streamed three games over the course of a few months. I was happy while she was around and no matter how much I miss her, nothing can take away the happiness she gave me. Good times are evanescent, but that makes it all the more precious to try and share them together.

There is a way to sort search results by least viewers first. But yes, admittedly you have to search actively yourself, discoverability sucks on yt and I wouldn't bet on getting vtubers recommended unless they metagame a lot with shorts and community posts/polls. Only thing I get recommended semi-organically is 2view-4view songs by some obscure artists.

I wonder why people would choose to stream on YouTube if they're not part of a corpo that forces them to do so or if they're not some rich streamer getting some lucrative exclusivity deal for it. I appreciate it because I prefer YouTube, I like the layout better than Twitch, I like that it has stuff besides streams, I already use it for things like listening to music unlike Twitch which you only go for streams so I might open Youtube for one thing then see a nice stream by coincidence. But it seems like it does everything in its power to fuck over people who hope to use it to get any sort of exposure. Like it feels like the only reason you'd choose it is because you're specifically trying to get a low profile. You'd think it'd be better for business if they fixed discoverability so I can't possibly imagine their reasons for not doing so.

You can look at participants in chat. Click the French fry on chat in the upper left corner and you can see who is in chat. It's laggy as hell and slows everything down but it works.
