Irys was added because they basically came across someone who would be such a perfect fit to the company that they couldn't pass up the opportunity, so they made a spot for her.

I can't really imagine some dude showing up and being as good of an offer as Irys was in that moment, especially when they already have a japanese EN who can kinda sing - Axel.

The male Irys equivalent would have to be a legend. Naturally funny, frank sinatra voice, and has a hobby of making video games, digital art, and animation.

Axel should have been a vsinger because he's just not a very good streamer and he seems to really lean into making song covers.
But if they did try to debut a vsinger for StarsEN then it should be a guy who can compose his own music and sing english songs since Axel is more of a JP singer.
