They're graduating because Mangagamer is pulling the plug on the project. Exact reason why is unclear, but it's assumed that it's because they're not as successful as MG would want them to be.

For all intents and purposes, they are the same characters from the VN on Steam, but continuing their story as vtubers who had to stop Misaki Tours while the pandemic was happening. And now that Japan is opening back up, they are going to reopen Misaki Tours and will stop being vtubers for the foreseeable future, after their graduation.

Yeah, that's always the trouble with reversing a decision like this. Still I don't think it would be too bad, they had a decent profile before but not a huge one and it's not like people are only watching them because they're graduating, people are watching them because they've discovered two great vtubers. I think people would easily accept MG just made a bad decision and have realised this, or they can say the fan campaign made them change their minds.

Originally when I saw the first announcements I thought I was simply too late to start watching them. Then suddenly I saw that Sneezeathon thread and tuned in since they were still going to my surprise. I pretty much got swept up from there and enjoyed the genuine sweetness of the sisters that travelers pointed out.
