You can't reasonably combat inflation in a game where the only real difference between me and, say, Mikoposter is time invested in the game. That gap will always exist, and the starting currency is adjusted to ensure it doesn't negatively impact the new player's experience.
I do think a periodic cleaning up of dead coins might help, though. Maybe once a month, the broker goes through and forcefully buys back any coins from accounts that haven't done anything in a month or two. Putting liquid on dead accounts doesn't do anything, and it means fewer dead coins are in circulation.
