Their clout and importance to the platform is translated into preferential treatment meaning they will retain their viewership (it is in the market owner’s interest after all to have lots of guarantees showing up to the market every day) while smaller streamers come and go with little importance, receiving only lip service from the market owner because they don’t bring in much viewership and instead just leech viewership off the bigger ones, making the platform harder to manage.

It’s not about the quality of content but the guarantee of returning consumers.
