We don't know the specifics but it sounds like daily viewership for all streamers has been down across the board for the entire site and the people amazon put in charge of twitch have been panicking to do anything to cut costs. This week alone They flat out refused a 70/30 split for everyone and said it will go to 50/50 for everyone and they started rolling out Supercheers, which is a replacement for bits that Twitch gets a bigger cut of than they did on bits. Not to mention them shoving ads into everything they possibly can and even trying to bribe streamers with ad money cuts to run more ads.
