They get shit on a lot here but I think a lot of the Nijimen are genuinely good entertainers/personalities and even surprise me at video games; they're the ones, far more than Tempus, that make me question if I'd be cut out for this line of work. That's Japan wages, it's a good deal all things considered. They have more/better social services than the US (transportation, health care, sick/parental leave). COL is also average outside of major urban centers that you're just a train ride away from. A lot of small time content creators survive just fine there.

Some actual worthwhile copium is that they rake in a fuck ton of memberships every stream. Subs are nice but that does fuck all. Consistent CCV and raking in actual cash is what matter and they're doing fine there. They're growing steadily, their biggest problem is that they heavily share the same fanbase. Solo streaming should hopefully help out with that over time. Also people that hate them for existing, but they were already prepared for that and seemed surprised that it wasn't worse.

StarsJP fans actually drop a lot of money on them (mostly merch) relative to audience size and that seems to carry over to StarsEN. Vesper has like 4k+ members atm and he's made 52k+ USD in SC so far, not to mention their first merch drop sold really well. Axel is the worst performing member and he has about less than half those numbers. Once they have more merch I don't doubt those will sell well too. They're already a big success as far as the company is concerned especially since they were expected to only be 2views.

it's weird that they made a new gen that only works as a unit and not individually, every collab that i saw was fun to watch, but seeing them play on their own is just boring and they look bored too, no one has something interesting to offer, regis is "good" at fps, magni doesn't excel at anything but does whatever he wants to, vesper being relatable since he's so old and quirky that he did a bunch of dumb stuff but he's gonna run out of memories if not already and axel sings, none of those sounds fun to watch
