Ngl I did kind of understand what she was talking about as far as letting the lettuce in a sandwich “age” a bit in the fridge so it gets a bit of a different crunch to it, but that really only works if you place it on the shelf closest to the freezer and really only applies to iceberg lettuce because still like spinach will wilt pretty quickly.

As far as getting your money's worth and still tasting good goes, probably Wendy's. Braum's is also pretty cheap and good, but they're not a nationwide chain.
If you still have any local burger joints or drive thrus in your city you really should go for those instead, though. Probably better food and much cheaper than any chain.

Few years back there was a report published testing how much of the chicken at various fast food places was actually chicken. Results weren't 100% for anyone, but that's expected from processing, seasoning, maybe breading, etc. Everyone else was about 90% chicken, Subway hovered around 50% (rest was onions protein).
And last year lawsuits against them were filed that their tuna contained large amounts of other animal proteins, with some tests showing almost no tuna in it at all.

But aside from all that their quality's pretty blech at best. I'd much rather go to Firehouse, Blimpie's, even Quizno's.
