Honestly, I feel like the lux boys need a core fanbase that’ll always watch them because they like them and not just because they’re luxiem. It’s nice that milord’s fanbase knows when he’s feeling off, and is ok with him taking his break because he needed it.

A lot of people are very casual fans, or watch as more of a habit than anything else. Those people will find something else to watch during the break and sometimes they just sort of forget about what they used to watch. This doesn't generally apply to members or people who donate since they are more invested, but I imagine it can be a bit scary for a content creator to find out how large the portion of their fanbase that would easily move on is. It is a lot worse for new and small channel, though. That loss of some portion of your fanbase and falling out of favor with the algo hurts a lot more when you don't have much to begin with. People like Fuuchan and Enna came out of their longer breaks just as strong, if not stronger, because they have dedicated, established, fanbases and the few casual fans leaving were outweighed by the return buff. Luca and Vox are both big enough with strong core fanbases that any negative impact should be small. But it is hard for them to just believe that until they see it in action.
