That happened to me, my friends' parents would let them do shit that they wanted while mine would always do everything for me and I felt like I was lagging behind really hard whenever I would go to their houses. Soon as I got to college the first thing I did was try to spend as much time as possible by myself and do lots of different things, even something as simple as going to buy a snack by myself without going with people from class because I didn't want them to notice how dependant I was at the time. It might've just been schizothink but I didn't want to risk it, and if it wasn't for constantly messaging my friend on my phone about what I was doing I don't think I could've actually done it myself.
I can imagine how much worse it was for her having to deal with bullying and mental illness on top of that. Especially the losing friends part, most people don't take well to that.
