When I started watching VTubers I didn't think too much of Towa, but over time I basically fell in love with watching and listening to her music. She went from barely on my radar to one of my favorite girls in Hololive. I'm glad I've gotten to see her grow over time.

Like a lot of Hololive members, she has quite a character growth arc.
Her yab stunted her growth and almost caused her to quit from the stress of the drama.
But with the help of the fans she had left (her kenzoku), she pushed onward.
As time went on she got more comfortable with her character revealing an energetic and really dorky side to her and more people started to join the kenzoku.
Her 3D debut is proof that she weathered the storm. Her kenzoku (and incoming fans) got to see smile they protected, a smile that's now immortalized in her new song, Palette.

Rurudo did amazing work with Towa's character design.
It's a very bold design that highlights both her feminine charm and her poignant singing style.
Towa herself is a really interesting character because she doesn't talk much about herself, but you hear nothing but good (and hilarious) things about her from other members.
She's quite caring about other members and their well-being, as evidenced by her worrying about their diets and health habbits.
And yet she also has wacky side to her that's so funny to hear about or witness when you see it.
Examples would be the story Polka and Suisei told about her freaking out when there were no snacks in the break room.

She herself knows that she's a little strange, but enjoys being that way since it seems to make people happy, like it did with Mio during that call in.

She's definitely oshi material. However, be aware that she's very "my pace" and streams whenever she feels like it.
For some, it's not enough Towa and it's hard to find time to tune in to her.
For others, you won't get exhausted with watching her as easily because she's not a streaming machine.

Different anon, but I think the answer is yes if you filter out the shitposters and the topic isn't china on this board. On reddit you pretty much have to be overly positive about anything you don't like and in line with the right ideology which means real disagreements can't be hashed out to come to a meaningful resolution.

Sometimes. Just stay away from /hlg/, find your oshi's thread (god help you if that's Kiara or Ollie right now), dig through the shitposts, dodge the schizos, ignore the numberfags, don't take the larper bait, exterminate the bugs, etc. and you're good.

Meanwhile on Reddit discussions die in new as they get swarmed by the 50th post about some tweet a Hololive member made and variations of said tweet by plastering shit memes on them, or a lame image macro meme, sometimes all posted by the same guy 5 times within an hour.

And as >>3299340 said, the Hololive hivemind on reddit is overly sensitive to criticism. Even simple questions get downvoted because they expect you to know this shit from the get go and some asshat has to take the "WELL ACKSHUALLY" tone.

I have asked to be spoonfed (the only good use of reddit ino) a lot and have never been downvoted. The only time that happened was when I made an Aloe joke under an Aloe thread.
