Based as fuck. Corporate vtubers are better for like...background noise, since it's so difficult to engage organically with the streamer and community. Small vtubers are a lot more engaging, easier to connect with chatters and the streamers themselves.

The chuuba i'm watching now the most definitely has the potential and should be getting more than the current 10-25 viewers. I feel like wishing for the success is just part of what makes supporting small streamers fun. I will admit, one thing that really turns me off to a small chuuba is when they have 1 or 2 orbiters who are like consistently attached to them and drowning out everyone else. cakechan has a problem with this. She's such a good chuuba but her one subscriber literally makes me want to stop trying to participate. Like we get it bro, you are fucking lonely. touch grass

As a 3DPD idol fan for nearly 20 years, let me tell you that liking smaller groups or less popular members of larger groups is bittersweet. It's pretty cool to actually get tickets close to the stage or when your oshi recognizes you at a handshake event or something, but it's pretty bad when she graduates or the group disbands after 1-2 years because they're not gaining any traction.

You know what they say, better to have it and lose it than to never have it at all. I think overall it's better to support small chuubas than feed the corpos. Not just because they can actually get to know you or at least interact with you, but because it's almost no fun rooting for a giant fucking whale of a chuuba who's already at the top of the top.
