You talk about best singer, but in reality all of them are below average, you have people with classical training like Sora, Suisei or Moona, but let me tell you what all of them lack, something really fundamental.

They lack soul and life experience, what can a singer from japan even tell in a song, that can move your soul? nothing, they live a life without problems so whenever they sing they just don't connect with the audience.

Most of them chase the dream of becoming a real singer or musicians, but in reality they are as deep as a shallow teeneager singing about her romances or life.

At best they can reach technical valuables when it comes to singing but nothing more, a pretty pond but shallow and without any deep.

That's true about song writters, they add their technical skills and experience to make a good song, but a good singer it's different because they can connect with their audience and actually make the song about them or at least interpret the song to the audience.

I can't speak for any others but Watame, after being abandoned by her father as a child and dealing with the death of her grandma who pretty much singlehandedly raised her, tried to build a music career for a decade while dealing with constant setbacks and working minimum wage jobs to try and get by, having to constantly deal with thoughts of not being good enough because nobody noticed her talent. Suisei was working as a waitress and video editing while trying to make it as a vtuber. This is all the while trying and beinf rejected several times by idol agencies.
