Localisations can be done well as long as the team doesn't go crazy with it, and literally rewrite entire characters or insert their own politics. I still play them, but since I started being a vtuber I mostly just play them on stream. I honestly really love video games, but mostly just stuff that came out between 1991 and 2006. I think there’s still a lot of potential in the medium and that anyone who makes a game that asks hundreds of hours of time from a player is more of a Skinner box technician than a true video game developer.
