Sure, they scaled back the amount of information that was being put out there in application forms, they don't show the expectations right out the gate, but they had that model since the beginning. Although I'm sure if they get auditions that are great, but don't fit the archetype, they work that archetype into a future Gen, or create special slots ala GAMERS or EN VSinger, so they can fit a talented audition into their format.

I find it interesting to compare and contrast these two groups in how they get gold.
I'm racking my mind to try and remember the example that springs into my head, but I can't remember what exactly this piece of media was from. But Nijisanji's approach to getting golds reminds me of a character that fights with a mix of being lean, but having some kind of explosion or shotgun blast they can use from their arms and legs to massively boost momentum. So instead of being like Holo's strategy, where they opt more for "the rising tide lifts all boats" as a growth strategy, Niji isn't focusing on growing itself all around, but will focus their momentum into these shotgun-blast-strengthened punches and kicks to maximize their impacts with what they have.
