I think this is what people often compare cover tech to when they say “hololive’s 3D tech department is run by monkeys” I know of a shit ton of well known 3D freelance devs who can recreate quality like this but they’re never hired for any cover projects.

Regardless of what she says in the end it's her behavior that ultimately decides how people will feel towards her, and the fact is that she doesn't interact with males outside of the professional environment (promo stuff and music). Her comments are just her trying to be objective and real with her fans. I imagine people are attracted to her because of her drive to be a singer/idol, and her being herself in that regard isn't going to drive away gachikoi. An idol is one that can't be touched by anyone in the first place, any sane fan knows this. But they also expect their feelings to not be carelessly stepped on, and ultimately none of her behavior does that, since her dream is built into it because...she's being an idol (a virtual idol according to her twitter bio). That itself is preventing her from romance, it's like a high career woman who doesn't want to be slowed down by relationships. There are many better examples of vtubers who actually don't respect the culture in this regard (intentionally or not) because they never cared about that aspect of it in the first place.
