I guess it depends on what they want from vtubing. If they are in it for the hobby aspect anything about 15 average viewers is pretty good. If they want to take it seriously, get partner, start making a living or partial living off of streaming then I'd say anything below 100ish average isn't gonna get them there usually.

If you have very dedicated fans you could theoretically live off it. Especially if the cost of living is low where you are.
But realistically what that many viewers shows is that you're capable of building a community and growing. You can either try to grow "naturally" by going at your own pace. Or, you can try to grind your way up through networking and playing whatever the meta is atm.

When we hit a recession we'll see a flood of streamers either begging for cash or giving up to return to work. If you want to stream as a job you have to be ready for that or else get real big real quick.

It’s not. I’ve literally seen vtubers explode overnight because of one clip on YouTube. There are some vtubers who are blessed like Grimmi who got noticed by the right people and the Twitch algo but she’s an exception. It is 100x easier to grow a community on YouTube and move to twitch than it is the other way around and you’ll see tons of the bigger twitch streamers start out this way. Even someone as variety as Jerma started out making TF2 skits that got him his initial audience. I’ve also seen some fleshtubers post 6 thirsttrap tiktoks, announce they’re streaming Minecraft, and get an instant 50-100 CCV for every stream (and this is a male). You are heavily debuffing yourself by not utilizing these platforms especially if you are variety. Variety streamers (which is the majority of vtubers) don’t have a community they can access so any form of networking that matters is going to be a massive challenge to figure out. It’s much better to just not stream at all and just do YouTube instead and then stream once you have a stable viewership.

So now you see, asking those things is pointless because if a tranny has done enough voice training to hide their original sex, and they don't market it, it has absolutely no bearing on them as a virtual tuber. You will never fuck them IRL anyway, but you will only see them on screen, so if the voice passes, who cares? You're in love with the character, not the person behind them.

And if they don't do any voice training, or make trans a part of their identity, you can safely filter them anyway. It's legitimately a win-win, this is why VTubing is superior.

I took an afternoon nap and had a dream I went to visit my oshi's place IRL. I knock on the door, she opens it and she's this slightly tall, unattractive dorky woman in her late 30s/40s with glasses and shoulder length blonde hair.
She asks me if I'm in a sane state of mind before letting me inside her home, I tell her "It's me, viewer" and she lets me in. IRL Oshi explains, looking a bit on edge, that her husband ran away from home and she doesn't know where he went, then she tells me to make myself at home and that if I see an elderly man in the kitchen making coffee it's her father. Then the dream kinda trails off and I don't remember what happens next, I guess we enter a room to play videogames and then the subject of the dream changes.

Despite the somber theme this dream only made me appreciate and take care of my oshi more, ever had any similar experiences?
