basically, you don't choose your oshi, they choose you whether you want them to or not. Going off the deep end isn't healthy though, i'd advise against it.

I noticed a video in 2020 where the thumbnail was Ame reading a newspaper. The one from pic related. I was fascinated and then got hooked on what she was talking about even though I had no idea who she was. Eventually I ended up watching streams, membered within a month and then couldn't stop.

Bae's my oshi, but i didn't really choose her.
It's dumb but that little zoomer rat's enthusiasm really gives me motivation to better myself as a person so I can find my own IRL Bae.

A friend showed me uto and thats what got me started a shame she doesn’t really stream as much as she used to and got addicted to apex I haven’t found someone like her so I don’t really watch vtubers anymore
