My bandai spirits merch finally came. Got all the goodies. Need to set up my scanner so I can scan a better picture than this.

Finished watching the MonHun vod. Glad that she ended up having some of her fans help her out with some of the quests. While the giant spider wouldn't have been hard, the purple fire doggo would have been a nightmare for her solo. Plus both would have taken 35+ mins with how she plays. Also glad that she's capturing monsters now because that saves time. She's gonna have to get better at the Hammer though. The upcoming monsters are tough and the endgame monsters have high hp. Especially the last boss. With how she plays, she'd probably run out of time (50 mins) before she killed it, assuming it doesn't kill her first.

It's not that difficult to solo this game, even with an unoptimized build. Noel's not making much progress solo because she is horrible with the hammer, has zero clue how to use it at a basic level, and I believe has no intention on learning how to use it. She's literally just spamming the spinning wirebug attack which is 1) a move that is not great DPS and 2) causing her hunts to be even longer than they should. She has to wait until the gauge at the bottom refills and that's assuming she doesn't use the gauge to recover after being hit by the monster. Even with a basic understanding of how the hammer should be played would cut her hunt times to 15-20 minutes vs the 35-40 minutes she needs for her hunts now. I now completely understand why people were backseating hard and losing their shit when she played Nioh. Yeah, let the player play how they want but if you're playing at her level it's not a good source of entertainment for someone who is just watching.

But if this is fun for her then that's fine. She keeps coming back for a reason. I would assume if she wasn't having fun she'd play something else. From my experience playing MonHun online with randoms, you find that you don't notice how bad someone else hunts unless what they do directly affects you: things like flinching you out of your attacks with their own attacks or dying in the middle of the hunt. And despite how bad Noel is at the game, she knows when she has to back off to heal and she never gets in another player's way. So Flare probably never noticed how poorly Noel plays and assumes the longer hunt times are because of the increased HP in multiplayer, not because Noel isn't doing her fair share of DPS.

When I started following Noel I translated my name into Japanese to make it easier for her to read which made my gender a bit ambiguous and she did seem a bit more perky when reading my superchats. But then I thought it was weird having a Japanese name and be sending USDs, so I changed it back to English which made my name is very 僕 and now I'm just another SC, I've noticed that perk is a bit decreased. She clearly favors her female followers more, you can see that with her Likes on Twitter and following, on both accounts.

I haven't watched full streams but I've seen short vids of her fighting mons. She's competent. Best player in Hololive is probably Luna because she's played multiple titles in the series.

The only thing to learn about the game outside of the weapons are monster attack patterns and micromanaging your items/skills. Noel is competent at that. She's just horrendous at the hammer. All of the weapons outside of the great sword will tell Noel nothing about how to use her weapon. The person she should learn from is Luna because of her experience and that she's currently using a Hammer in Rise/Sunbreak.
